How to change hands in CS 2 (CS 2)
In Counter-Strike 2, just like in CS:GO, you can change the position of hands and weapons on the screen using console commands.
Main Commands for Switching Hands
• cl_righthand 1 – weapon and hands on the right (default).
• cl_righthand 0 – weapon and hands on the left.
Additional Settings
In CS 2, you can also adjust the weapon’s position in hands using the viewmodel command to set comfortable display:
• viewmodel_offset_x – horizontal offset (left/right).
• viewmodel_offset_y – depth offset (closer/further).
• viewmodel_offset_z – vertical offset (up/down).
For example:
viewmodel_offset_x 2 viewmodel_offset_y -2 viewmodel_offset_z -1
How to Enable the Console in CS 2
- • Go to “Settings.”
- • In the “Game” section, enable the Developer Console (~).
- • In a match, press ~ and enter the commands.
Tips
• Try different values to find a comfortable position.
• If you are used to CS:GO, you can transfer your settings — most commands are the same.
• For convenience, create a config file and save your commands there.
