CS 1.6 Extended is a large-scale modification of classic Counter-Strike 1.6 that offers a significantly expanded gameplay experience while preserving the original mechanics and atmosphere of the game. This build includes numerous visual and technical improvements that make the game more modern and convenient for modern systems. The main changes affect the graphical component — support for high resolutions up to 4K has been added, weapon and character textures have been completely reworked, and lighting, smoke, and fire effects have been improved.
At the same time, the recognizable style of the original game is preserved. An important feature is optimization for modern Windows 10 and 11 operating systems, ensuring stable performance without lags or crashes. The build includes additional game modes such as Gun Game, Deathrun, and Zombie Plague, significantly expanding gameplay possibilities. More than 30 new maps have been added, including both reworked versions of classic locations and completely unique custom levels.
The multiplayer component has also received significant improvements — support for modern server protocols has been implemented, a convenient server browser has been added, and a built-in anti-cheat system is included. Technical enhancements include stable FPS even on low-end computers, simplified one-click installation, and support for high refresh rate monitors. At the same time, the build preserves all key elements of the original gameplay, including weapon balance and movement physics.
CS 1.6 Extended is an ideal choice for those who want to refresh their experience with the classic game while getting a modern gaming experience with additional features. Low system requirements allow the game to run even on older computers, and the simple installation makes it accessible to any user. The build is completely free and regularly updated, fixing possible bugs and adding new content.
